The main differences
Flaws as a setting versus flaws as writing
On Nomi, you shape a companion by writing their personality and backstory, and a good writer can make one that pushes back. On Formii, flaws are the point: you pick at least two from a list of thirteen, set each one's strength, and set a friction level from easygoing to a handful. You cannot build a Formii companion without edges. On Nomi you can, and most people do.
One companion versus many
Nomi lets you have ten companions and put them in group chats, and sells credits for more. Formii is one companion, on purpose: the product is about living with one person's flaws for a few weeks and noticing what you keep. If you want a cast of characters, Nomi is built for it.
Voice and images
Nomi offers voice messages, calls and AI selfies today. Formii is text, plus photos you send, and voice is not yet built. If hearing your companion matters to you, that is a real difference in Nomi's favor right now.
