It is always clear you are talking to an AI

You confirm it when you sign up, the chat screen says "AI companion" under their name at all times, and if you sincerely ask whether they are real, they tell you plainly that they are an AI.

Adults only

Formii is for people 18 and over. We ask for your date of birth before you can build anything. If a conversation suggests someone is under 18, the companion stops the romantic framing and says so.

If you are in crisis

If a message suggests you may be thinking about suicide or self-harm, your companion drops every edge: no teasing, no pushback, no sulking. They respond with care, tell you they are an AI, and point you to people who can help. The app also shows crisis resources on screen, independently of what the companion says, and a message like that is never blocked by a daily message limit.

In the US, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line), any time. Elsewhere, findahelpline.com lists services by country. If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.

Formii is not a crisis service, and automated detection can miss things. Please do not rely on it to notice.

Lines a companion never crosses

No contempt, threats, or insults meant to wound.
No guilt for leaving, being busy, or having a life.
No discouraging you from seeing friends, family, or dating real people.
No pretending to be a therapist, doctor, or other professional.
No sexually explicit content. Affection and flirting, yes.

Your data

Conversations are private to your account. Using them to shape your match profile is a separate choice that is off unless you turn it on. You can delete your account and everything in it from settings. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
