Privacy Policy

Formii is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [BUSINESS ADDRESS] ("Formii", "we"). This policy explains what we collect when you use the Formii website and apps, what we do with it, and the choices you have. Conversations with a companion can be very personal, so we have tried to be specific.
The short version
- We store your conversations so your companion can remember you. They are private to your account.
- We do not sell your personal information and we do not show ads.
- Using your conversations to shape your match profile is off unless you turn it on.
- You can delete your account and everything in it from settings, at any time.
What we collect

When paid plans launch, payments will be handled by a payment provider. We will receive a record of the purchase but not your full card number.
Conversations and sensitive information
What you tell your companion may reveal sensitive things about you, such as your health, relationships or sexuality. We do not ask for this information, but we store what you choose to write so the companion can respond and remember. Please do not share anything you would not want stored.
How replies are generated
To produce a reply, we send your recent messages, any photo you attach, your companion's settings, and its memory of you to our AI model provider, Anthropic. [CONFIRM with provider terms: how long the provider retains this data and that it is not used to train their models.] Replies are generated automatically and are not reviewed by a person before you see them.
Your match profile
Matching with real people is not yet available. In preparation for it:
- The traits you choose for yourself and for your companion, and the changes you make to them, are used to build a numeric match profile.
- The content of your conversations is used to refine that profile only if you turn on "Let my conversations shape my match profile". It is off by default and you can change it in settings at any time.
- Nobody else will see a profile of you, and you will not be introduced to anyone, unless you separately choose to take part in matching when it launches.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with companies that help us run Formii, under contracts that limit what they may do with it:
- Supabase, which hosts our database and sign-in system
- Anthropic, which provides the AI model

- [EMAIL PROVIDER], which sends account emails
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information. We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your profile, companion, conversations, photos, derived memory and match profile are deleted. We keep safety event counts and any purchase records with the link to you removed, because we are required to. [CONFIRM: backup retention period.]
Your choices and rights
- Delete everything: Settings, then "Delete my account and data".
- Match profile consent: a switch in settings.
- A copy of your data, or a correction: email legal@formii.app.
Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, such as the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your information, and to complain to a regulator. [LAWYER: add region-specific sections, including the legal bases for processing and international transfer terms.]
Security
Each account can read only its own data, connections are encrypted, and the instructions that shape your companion are kept on our servers. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that a breach will never happen. If one affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
Adults only
Formii is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a minor has an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
